The Staples Community Foundation honors individuals and groups for their accomplishments and contributions to the area and to the communities in which we live with their Community Awards program.  Nominations are accepted from February 1 through June 1.

• Youth of the Year

• The Duane R. Lund Award for Lifetime Achievement

• The Chairman's Award   
  (The Chairman's Award can be suggested by the person submitting the nomination.  Possibilities might include: Volunteer of Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Educator, Police Officer, Firefighter, Medical Person, Farmer, Child Care Provider, etc., anything that does not fit into the other five categories.)

Duane R. Lund recognized for his dedication to the Staples Community.
The Duane R. Lund Award for Lifetime Achievement was established.

 

In 2005, in addition to the Duane R. Lund Award for Lifetime Achievement, awards were established for Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Youth of the Year, and Organization of the Year.
