Community Foundation grant deadline is Sept. 15

The Staples Motley Area Community Foundation will accept grant applications until Sept. 15 from organizations within the Staples Motley School District boundaries that will address one or more of the following areas: 
        strengthening youth and families, 
        improving community appearance or,
        increasing community involvement and leadership.

 A limited number of grants are available. The maximum amount awarded is 50 percent of the project cost up to $2,000.

How to Apply: 
Applications can be filed online.
Applicants may also send application in the mail by submitting one original application and one copy to:
Staples Motley Area Community Foundation, PO Box 101, Staples, MN 56479.

Grants

The Staples Motley Area Community Foundation provides grants bi-annually to qualified organizations within the Staples Motley School District (ISD 2170) geographic area. We are committed to helping those organizations that are helping to make our greater communities a better place for all.  We fund 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, governments and schools.

Grant applications must support projects which address at least one of the focus areas. 

 

Focus Areas

Utilizing the information obtained in several area visioning sessions, the Staples Community Foundation will focus on the following  priorities in its future grant making:

1. Strengthening Youth and Families

- Foster family togetherness and involve youth in local decision-making.

2. Improve Community Appearance

- Increase community pride and visitor appeal through local beautification projects

3. Increasing Community Involvement and Sense of
  Belonging

- Utilize the gifts and assets of local people to build on the strengths of the Staples area.
